Engine Run-Up & Ground Operations

This hands-on course covers the critical ground-phase skills every pilot needs before taking the runway. Students will master safe start-up procedures, brake and throttle management, magneto checks, and idle/power-parameter verification during the run-up. Emphasis is placed on situational awareness of taxiways, ground crew communication, foreign object debris (FOD) prevention, and emergency shutdown protocols. By the end of the session, you'll be able to confidently manage engine run-ups, identify common abnormalities, and operate on the ground with the same precision you bring to the air.
